Watching JOONBO

We use necessary browser storage and account records for playback, saved titles, and resume position. Optional viewing analytics follows Allow Analytics in Account / Profile → Privacy or Privacy choices. Signed-in choices are stored with your account and sync across devices; guest choices apply to that browser. Silence and unset preferences do not enable optional analytics. AdSense display ads are disabled during approval remediation. Video advertising is configured separately from display advertising; when an active provider serves an ad, its requests and measurement may involve that provider.

Account and viewing information

When you sign in through ChatGPT, JOONBO receives account identifiers and profile information supplied by the sign-in service, including your email and display name. Saved titles and viewing progress may be stored against your account. Guest viewing can use a device-local identifier and browser storage. We use this information to provide account features and resume playback.

Playback, service providers and diagnostics

JOONBO uses streaming and hosting providers, including Mux for supported video playback. Requests to a video host can include your IP address, device or browser information, and playback diagnostics. Optional JOONBO viewing analytics is controlled through Privacy choices; that setting does not block necessary network requests to deliver a video or third-party players’ own handling of information. Support and filmmaker deliveries

If you contact us, we receive the details you send. Private filmmaker invitations and delivery records include partner, agreement reference, file and processing details. Those records support content intake and administration; they are not published in the viewer catalog.

Retention and deletion

We keep service records needed to operate JOONBO, address support requests and maintain content administration. To request deletion of account or connection data, contact us using the address above. We may need to verify account ownership and explain any records that must remain for operational or legal purposes. You can clear local browser storage in your browser settings.

Family viewing

Parents and caregivers should review supplied ratings and descriptions before children watch. Contact us with questions about a child’s information or a request to remove it.

Optional YouTube connection

If you choose Connect YouTube, JOONBO uses YouTube API Services with your authorization to read up to 12 channels you subscribe to and display links to them in My Services. We request the youtube.readonly scope. We do not upload videos, alter your subscriptions, or change your YouTube account. Separately, some published podcast episodes use a YouTube embedded player.

JOONBO stores your Google access and refresh tokens encrypted on its server, tied to your JOONBO account. It requests subscription data when you open My Services; it does not keep a separate copy of that channel list. We do not sell or share the tokens or subscription data with advertisers. You can disconnect in My Services, which removes the stored tokens and requests revocation at Google. Disconnecting from JOONBO does not delete information held by YouTube.

You can also revoke access through Google’s security settings. Google handles information under its Privacy Policy. YouTube sign-in is handled by Google. Embedded YouTube players may communicate with YouTube when you choose to watch an episode.

Your choices

Use Privacy choices on JOONBO to change optional analytics consent. Disconnect YouTube from My Services. Email us to request deletion of JOONBO account data; we will verify the request before deleting account records. Your browser or provider may retain its own data under its policies.
